Microsoft and Dropbox has proved to be in official partnership today by releasing this app for Windows 10 PCs and Tablets. It is also clear that it will be “Coming Soon” on mobiles with the latest OS version, though the official date wasn’t announced by the companies. Some regions might not have access to it in the Windows store as for now but is said to be rolling out and will be available in the next few days.
Microsoft, infact benefited by huge success with OneDrive cloud storage, but for most users whenever they need a cloud storage option, the first thing that comes to everyone’s mind is Dropbox. So these two companies formed together and came up with this brillinat plan which indeed helps both of their customers.
According to Steve Guggenheimer, Microsoft’s Corporate VP of Developer Platform and Evangelism and Chief Evangelist, “this app is used by 17 million people all over the world and had come up with this new development considering the it’s new partner Microsoft has 200 million people world wide with Windows 10 devices”.
The store does have this app, but just not for the 10 version. It helps transfer, share, store, carry anything like photos, videos, documents, files safely. This new enhanement is quite similiar to the older versions which supports to edit any document in Microsoft Office, in Dropbox and also via the web. It all happened after an formal partmership back in 2014 which made easy for users.
The new enhancements provides facilities like drag and drop option from the app to File Explorer. Its free to download on the store starting today. Providing 2GB of space and able to sign-in from any device.
