World’s Cheapest Smartphone for $4 (WTF)

You heard it right! A $4 mobile is going to launch tomorrow in India. Ringingbells an Indian company has announced a RS 251/- worth not just a phone but a Smartphone. Unveiled as the cheapest and most affordable gadget, Internet is filled up with this latest news.

Not only in India, it is also the most cheapest smartphone in the world so far. A Noida-based company which formed in 2015 is one fast growing brand providing every quality present in other smartphones. Initially the announcement was the gadget will be priced for less than INR 500, but today it is proud to let everyone know the final cost which is RS 251/- which is $4 in USD.

Let’s know some of this so called affordable phone features posted on the official blog. The handset runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop) OS, with a 4.1 inch (10.2 cms) qHD IPS display. The upcoming iPhone 5se is also said to be having a 4 inch display, not that we would compare it with Apple. But given the price range, it is worth considering and knowing the exact features.

Well, i guess it’s not designed for the purpose of capturing images and recording videos, with given 3.5MP Rear and 3MP selfie camera. Device powers up with a 1.3GHz Quadcore processor just enough and suits the other features. Coming to Internal memory, 8GB coupled with 1GB RAM and an extra card slot upto 32GB is given.


Other features include 1450mAh Battery, bluetooth, Wi-Fi and GPS. Right now only white colour is said to be available. The Freedom 251 will be launched and released officially on February 18 in New Delhi (India), by Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar. Online bookings will be started on February 18, from 6AM Indian time and closes on Feb 21 at 8PM.
